BRIN.. is a purebred English Setter, very handsome in looks and spirit.

He’s about four years old and was found wandering in the grounds of a monastery in Co Louth with no collar and no microchip and no one has claimed him.

Brin, who is currently with Droghenda Animal Rescue in Ireland is affectionate, loves people, and gets on very well with other dogs. He is a setter and is energetic so is looking for an active family with an outdoorsy lifestyle.

He’s not good with cats or other small furry things.

UPDATE 9/6/11

New pix of Brin show that he has blossomed into a very handsome boy in Drogheda Animal Rescue’s care - a credit to them.

“He’s a lovely dog who is great with people and other dogs,” says Elizabeth from Drogheda. “It’s just cats that are a no-no!”

Brin is energetic but an obedient boy - and he has been in kennels for far too long so it’s definitely time we found him a home!

Brin, who is still in Ireland, is fully vax’d, wormed, flea-treated and neutered . If you are interested in him, either as foster or a forever home,  please email info@blackretrieverx.co.uk asap.

There is an adoption fee of £150 + VAT (total £180) for Brin, which includes the cost of transporting him from Ireland.
